The Jacques Pépin Foundation (JPF) was created in 2016 by Jacques Pépin, Claudine Pépin and Claudine’s husband, Rollie Wesen. The mission of the JPF is to improve lives and strengthen communities through culinary education and training.
For decades, Jacques has brought recipes and culinary techniques to home cooks, while teaching essential skills to aspiring professionals at the International Culinary Center and Boston University. We believe that skills in the kitchen improve self-confidence, health outcomes, and create employment opportunities.
The process of learning these skills, from Jacques and others, can bring entertainment and pleasure, as well as a sense of purpose.
Your annual membership to the JPF funds our support for community-based culinary training that provides essential culinary and life skills for individuals with barriers to employment such as previous incarceration, homelessness, and substance abuse.
Our organization offers grants, curricular materials, and networking opportunities to community kitchens nationwide, and educational videos designed to help people eat better, more nutritious food, even if they are experiencing scarcity and need. New video recipes will be released weekly, providing you with a library of content available year-round.
This unique Video Recipe Book provides a comprehensive compilation of searchable and printable recipes, each accompanied by an instructional video from a diverse group of renowned chefs. This digital publication format merges a celebrity chef coffee-table cookbook with a cooking video subscription service. The video cookbook allows JPF members to follow the recipes and cook along with incredibly personal video content from their favorite celebrity chefs.
